Here is what worked for me. Starving yourself and calling is fasting is a horrible thing to do to your body.
A calorie is a calorie, but instead of counting those, why not pay attention to what your body is telling you? I lost 30lbs in 6 months and have kept it off for 10 years now (and baby #3) with NO exercise and NO dieting over and over.
If you are hungry, eat. If you have a craving, trust your body and eat it. Even if it’s ice cream. By satisfying that craving when it hits you are more likely to consume it in moderation instead of binging on it next week. The key, though, is when the feeling of hunger goes away…. STOP eating. Once you feel satisfied, put down the fork. I don’t care how much food is left on your plate. Clean plate syndrome is the leading cause of obesity in America, IMO.
Over time it will take less food to get to the point of feeling satisfied. Also, your cravings will likely change over time, too. I found myself craving broccoli instead of ice cream for my midnight snack (and no, midnight snacks will NOT make you gain weight, more on that later). If you listen to your cravings your body will tell you what it NEEDS.
About midnight snacks. I don’t care when you take in calories, the problem occurs when you take in more than you use. Period. Midnight snacks are not going to turn into fat before morning (lunch is more likely to if you consider time for digestion) and if you take in 1200 calories and burn 1300 a day on average, you will lose weight. Period.
Again, I would worry less about counting calories (that makes it too much like work IMO) and spend more time giving your body what it asks for and NO MORE.

You will lose more body fat eating protein and fat (don’t eat protein alone) than not eating AT ALL. To lose weight fast eat all you want but nothing but meat, eggs, healthy oils, mayo, butter and half an avocado a day (you’ll need added potassium). Keep your fat percentage high. Adding in green vegetables & some cheese will continue weight loss but at a slower pace.
If you starve yourself, your body will freak out and will want to store every ounce in case it doesn’t get nourished again. You need to give it adequate nourishment so it doesn’t slow your metabolism down to adjust for lower calories.
Simple carbohydrates (sugar, flour, bread, cereal, pasta, potatoes, rice) triggers insulin which can store the calories you eat into fat. The more protein you eat the more the fat burning hormone glucagon is released. The more carbohydrate you eat the more the fat storage hormone insulin is released.
Carbs are addictive and can be disastrous to our health. The best way to break the addiction is NO carbs for 3 days. Make a huge batch of deviled eggs and eat one every time you want “something” have huge omelets for breakfast, with bacon, a lil onion, peppers, mushrooms & cheese. Pork chops for lunch. Get pork rinds and eat them with tuna salad. Steak for dinner. Make a huge sugar free cheese cake for dessert. Eat so much you won’t feel deprived of anything. By the fourth day, your addiction will be gone and you can start making healthy choices.
High insulin levels unbalance other hormones. Controlling your insulin level will balance out other hormones & allow human growth hormone (HGH) to be produced naturally so you will gain lean muscle even without exercise. Any exercise will greatly increase your muscle mass with high HGH levels.
Reducing body fat and increasing muscle mass will have you in awesome shape in no time. Good luck!

Just jump up in down (I like doing this on a mini-trampoline.)
Hindu squats (basically just squatting and getting up as fast as you can. If you can do 20 in a minute and 100 in 5 minutes then you’ll loose weight quicker)
Run up and down your steps
Just take a relaxing stroll in the park or around your neighborhood
I did all this and got some results in only two days.

You didn’t put the weight on overnight, it’s not coming off overnight. There is no “fast” if you want to keep it off long term.
Eat right and exercise. It’s just that simple (and that difficult). No fasting, no magick pills, no fad ‘diets’. Make a lifestyle change and stick with it…Eat healthy, eat enough, eat frequently, and exercise at least 5 days a week for at least 1 hr a day.
Calories over 1200 a day (shoot for around 1300 – 1500). Cardio exercise for fat burning, strength training for muscle toning (which increases your metabolism). Self control to keep from over-eating or eating unhealthy foods. Drink lots of water, keep healthy snacks on hand (avoid being around junk food).

the best one is the one that you can stick to. use common sense. eat healthy foods in proper portions. portion size is key. drink lots of water. get at least 30 minutes of exercise every day. write down what you eat. I usually plan what to eat a day ahead. if it works for you, do it. don’t do it because you read about it, but have doubts about doing it yourself.

I know what you are going through. I have been through the same thing. Unfortunately, the most effective and economical way to lose weight is to reduce your caloric intake
Here’s what I mean:
Eating 3500 calories = gaining 1 pound of fat
Burning 3500 calories = losing 1 pound of fat
1 slice of bread = 120 calories.
1 hour of walking = 100 calories.
Obviously, it is far more economical to simply skip the slice of bread than it is to walk for 1 hour.
I have been through what you’re going through. It was difficult for me as well. But eventually, I hit rock bottom. I was able to use this to finally push myself to eat less, and lose weight.
Once I lost my fat, I started exercising and really getting shape. You can do this too. Trust me, at first it’s really, really hard to reduce your calories. But eventually, it will pay off and become MUCH, MUCH EASIER.

eat healthily and burn more calories. you should be consuming about 1500 calories a day, and then burn as many as you can also. e.g for breakfast, have something like shredded wheat (no sugar) and skimmed milk or semi skimmed, with fruit if you like. then 2-3 hours later have a snack to keep your energy up, like a banana, or a handful or dried fruit.
then, about 2-3 hours later have your lunch, such as chicken salad, or cous cous, or pasta? or you could make a veg soup and have a slice of wholegrain bread with it. liquids are proven they fill you up more than solid foods.
then for an afternoon snack 2-3 hrs later, have something like a low fat yogurt, piece of fruit or cereal bar.
then 2-3 hours later have dinner, which could be something like grilled fish or chicken with steamed veg, or salad and prawns, pasta or soup.
for a last snack (before 7.30pm) have a healthy one simular to the ones you had during the day.
keep this up and you will llose weight. watch your portion sizes, one portion is about the size of your palm.
drink plenty of water during the day.
and lastly, cut out the things you know are bad for you.
change a few things.
– cut out having butter/spread on your toast/dinner
-change white bread for wholegrain
– dont eat too many potatoes, pasta or rice – but you can change these for sweet potato, wholegrain pasta and basmati rice or, cous cous.
