What is a good way to lose weight quickly?

I exercise regularly (I row) and try to watch what I eat, but I cannot seem to lose very much weight. If anything, I have reached a plateau. I would like to lose about 20 pounds before June. Is this possible? What is a good way to lose that weight in a short amount of time. I weigh 200 lbs.

A good weight loss is 2 lbs per week. Any diet program out there should be able to help you. Weight Watchers, Nutri system, Jenny Craig… They are all advocates of a healthy weight loss. Perhaps, this is something you never heard of before…but, you normally loose weight and then it takes a while for your body to acclimate it self to that weight and then you start to loose inches and then actually start loosing again. It’s a cycle so you’re just giving up too soon. Also, you need to exercise to tone and help you burn off calories. If you start with a diet that has 1500 calories….don’t you see that as you get smaller that caloric intake must not remain static..it has to change as you change. This is another thing that contributes toward a plateauing.

I wish you lots of luck and don’t give up. It will eventually come off.

Sorry, but you won’t tell anybody what you eat–that is the culprit–eating and drinking—the realistic way to eat is change the diet and drinking less alcohol and beer. Do NOT make an unrealistic strain on your body–you do row and that is a lot of energy everytime you practice or workout–you replenish with a lot of the wrong foods–you need a professional–what works for me will not work for you–that is a fact–and if you drop 20–you’ll just put it back on—that may be your ideal weight for your lifestyle…goals that are unreasonable can be dangerous—and if a coach or teammate says that you need to lose 20 pounds–get to a professional first–before you really hurt yourself. My guess is that the food is the main issue. Good luck

It is possible to lose 20 lbs, but not very beneficial. Now, you may lose alot on the 1st week of your diet, but to lose more than 2 lbs / week would mean that you’re probably losing muscle & water; these are two things that you want to keep. I would check out what the Internet says about the glycemic index.

With the glycemic index, you will eat foods that cause minor changes in your blood sugar. The theory goes like this…When you eat foods that affect your blood sugar alot, it triggers an insulin response and forces the fat in your blood to be stored for later energy. When you eat foods that don’t cause major changes in your blood sugar, your body will cause the fat that’s already in storage to be used as energy. It works great – I’ve lost 30 lbs since thanksgiving.

if losing some pounds of any description and inches is what you want then I would suggest you use a diet that is all natural and is rich in protein and vitamins, which is what the FDA recommends. I used a protein based diet after a friend who had lost a lot of weight with this recommended it to me. All the way through you feel great and energized, you also get great coaching and support along the way. The people are very friendly and gave me lots of great advice. I needed to lose 40 pounds and I did so with no problems. The products really work and you feel great whilst losing weight. I lost all my weight in less than four months and they have helped me to keep it off. I would definitely recommend using them. My sister did this also and lost 76 pounds in five months (She works out, I don’t). There is no pressure and they will even send you a load of free samples so you can try before you buy. The samples were the thing that initially convinced me that this was the right diet for me. You also a get a free complete health consultation with the samples, I think I just paid the postage, but for what I got it was well worth it. You have to go to my health abc.com to register your details to get the free samples and the free advice etc and then they just call you up and ask you a few questions. It was so easy. Their main site is http://www.myhealthabcmall.com and you can see all the products and packages and order from their. Its nice to have contact with real people who care about you losing weight and improving your health. I am in better health now than I have ever been thanks to these products and I know that I will continue to keep the weight off with the help I have received. I hope this helps.
