What are the possible side effects of taking slimming pills?

I’m 18 and I’m planning to take Xenical to slim down. Aside from the constant bowel movement and weight loss, what else should I expect to happen?
I just plan to lose 10 kg. of my body weight. What would happen if I stop taking the pills after I shed those 10 kilos?

    When you stop taking those pills, if you contenue with your life style that you had before taking them. Most likely you will gain back about 11 kilos.

    I’m not messing with you there, that’s just how it works.

    Side effects;
    If you lose weight too fast, you will begin to lose muscle instead of fat.

    Weight loss from pills is most often only temporary.

    You may feel a lack of energy. (Due to the way the pills work, may vary or be incorrect)

    Loose skin from losing weight too fast. (If you lose much more then 2.5 lbs per week or so)

    You can also tack on any side effects listed on the pills bottle.

    I’m not an expert on pills. But they simply are not as healthy or as permanent as dropping your weight the hard way, (diet and exercise).

    If you do decide to take the pills. You should really learn how to plan yourself a healthy diet. So that you can keep the weight off once you stop taking the pills. In this pursuit I would suggest you learn from internet forums (more then one, 3+ preferably, here on yahoo answers is good too). They aren’t the most reliable place for getting information. But the people there don’t get anything out of helping you, unlike places you buy information or products from.

    The reason to check three or more places is so that you can tell what is right and what isn’t. Or close enough. After all, if one unreliable person gives you a tip, and numerous other reliable sources, (knowledgeable people who get nothing out of helping you). Although just because many people agree on something, does not mean that it is true, it makes it a lot more likely.

    Also, sites that profit from advertising rather then from you paying them are fairly good. As they gain profit by hosting a large amount of accurate and in demand information. Some of them are still bad, but it should be obvious which ones those are.

    Good luck losing weight! being fit is fun! ~_^
