Swimming/Exercise/ Diet?

I’ve been swimming everyday, and swimming about 20 laps. I count 2 laps as to one end and back. I’m 5’7”, around 150lbs, and it tkaes 21 strokes to get from one end to the other at the pool here.
My question is, if I do this every month, how much weight could I loose? I’m only looking for about 10-15lbs off. And I can already tell I’m gaining muscle.
Also, in order to be able to swim more and loose weight more quickly, what kindof food should I eat/ not eat?

    Everyone loses at a different rate, but keep going. You are doing very well. I would suggest a lower carb diet, maybe something like South Beach or Atkins. Protein helps with muscle development, and that in turn helps to boos the metabolism. Use a food journal to track your food. The link below will take you to a site that you can use to calculate your energy requirements. eat about 200 calories less than your body requires as per the system (MER) if you want to lose weight. Also included links to reviews of Atkins and South Beach in case you want to have a look.

    You need to cut out processed foods like breads (anything made from white flour including pasta) and raw cane sugar(all sweets). These foods makes us fat and leave us hungry for more. No fast food, junk food, soda pop, ketchup, mayo etc…It’s hard the first week and then you won’t even crave junk food plus you’ll feel so much better & energetic.
    Eat fish, chicken, tuna, eggs, brown rice (1 cup) w/ veggies & salads. (salad dressing should be 1 tbsp olive oil w/ vinegar or fresh lemon squeezed) a bit of salt & pepper.
    Eat fruits. Snack on carrots, celery, cucumbers, tomatoes, blueberries, strawberries, cantalope (low sugar fruits).
    If you want juice; make fresh fruit juice instead of the ones at the grocery store. Make veggie juices too…they are so good & healthy. You can google for veggie juice recipes.
    If you feel like having a nut have some almonds (15 of them) or walnuts (15 halves) or 1/4 c. of sunflower seeds. You have to watch the portions bc if you eat too much it turns to fat.

    Drink 8-10 glasses of water daily
    Take a multi-vitamin daily
    “Prepare” meals ahead of time so you’ll always have healthy meals prepared. You WILL lose weight/fat if you “commit” to this.

    Congrats on your swimming laps. It is the best exercise.

    Keep up the good work!!! Don’t look at the scale to see if you lost weight, better yet look at how your clothes fit.
    Why? Cause muscle weighs more than fat. So if you lost 5lbs and you also lost a couple inches in your pant size i would call that success!!!

    If you exercise regularly then you can eat pasta with marinara sauce or brown rice, oatmeat is great! it gives you energy and burns off easily. Be sure to eat your fruits, veggies and protein.
