High intensity.
Doing anything “moderate” or “slow paced” will not get you anywhere. To lose fat, you will need to exercise as hard as you possibly can for 20 straight minutes. This means you can not start running and stop – you have to keep going. After 20 minutes you can rest, and then do 15 minutes at slightly less intensity.
It will take LOTS of time to get your fitness level to a point where you feel comfortable running. You will always feel pain. Pain is normal. If you do not feel like you are going to fall down to the ground after every workout then you are not putting in enough effort.
Exercise is about going outside your lazy comfort zone. It will be stressful in the beginning. Your whole life will become focused on that 40 minute workout that you HAVE TO DO 6 times a week. That’s right, 6 times. One day a week can be used for rest.
Good luck
