I’m scared I’m going to have loose skin after i lose weight :(?

So far I’ve lost about a stone and i’m now about 150 pounds. I don’t really have any loose skin now, but i’m scared that if i carry on and lose a further 20/25 pounds i’ll end up with loose skin?

I’m not losing weight really quickly or anything, i lost a stone over a 3 month-ish period. So what do you think?

I try to exercise when I can (gym when i have time, exercise dvds)

Will i get loose skin all over my belly? How can i prevent this?

    It is a possibility to lose weight fast but you should be realistic and understand that if you lose weight fast then you will almost certainly put it all back on again just as fast.     The best way to avoid loose skin is to lose weight in moderation and do strength training. You said you’re already not losing that quickly, and that’s good…you’re giving your skin time to remain elastic and shrink to fit your smaller frame. Keep doing what you’re doing and make sure to do some weight and resistance training (as opposed to cardio) to keep your skin snug. You can help things along by using the sauna/steam room at your gym when you can, drinking lots of water and taking extra good care of your skin — such as using vitamin E supplements and cocoa butter lotion. For the most part, you don’t have anything to worry about…sagging skin is a worry if you lose say 100 pounds or more, but for 20 pounds lost gradually you should be absolutely fine.

    It sounds like you are doing it right, keep up with what you are doing and your skin will be just fine. The only time that there is a lot of excess skin is when someone looses a lot of weight at once or if you are trying to loose around 100 lbs or more.

    Keep exercising and you will look great.
