If you ate a ton of fruit one day and didn’t eat for the next two days would you lose weight quickly?

I’m asking if this will keep the metabolism from slowing down and if you will still be able to lose weight very quickly by repeating this process. Any idea how much?

    you’d be better off eating the fruit over the 3 day period.

    you’d still be consuming the same amount, you’d get the vitamins from the fruit, it would keep your metabolism going constantly (burning energy), and it would keep your blood sugar level at a constant.

    if you ate all the fruit at once your body would only take the vitamins it needed right then, and the rest would go to waste. but that’s not the same for the energy in the fruit.

    And actually, if you do plan on doing a fruit diet for a few days, you should prepare your body beforehand by cutting your regular meals in half (preferably non-processed meals with whole grains and protein) and eating fruit for the other half. Do this the day before.
    If you have bad eating habits prior to doing this diet your body will not take well to it. If so, perhaps you should eat simple meals of whole grain (oatmeal) and protein for about 3 days beforehand.

    What you suggest will do nothing for you besides cleanse out your digestive track.

    Not eating will cause your metabolism to go into starvation mode and it will slow down even more.

    to lose weight quickly you can do the fruit diet which is only eating fruit but you can gain it back quickly when you go off of it but youll lose alooott if you do it for a little whillee!

    just eat one fruit and vegetable every 2 hrs and it speeds up your metabolism.

    No this is simply not enough for your body to live off of. Not to mention you will have no energy and our body will look for other tings to eat. It will then go into “starvation mode” this means everything you eat and drink you body will HOLD because it thinks it is starving! You will actually end up gaining weight because when you go back to eating the right way your body will not know what to do.

    if you dont eat then you dont lose fat you lose muscle so it would basically make you weaker and kinda sick and you should eat at least three times a day and try to avoid anything white such as pasta and white bread and and also try to aviod eating after seven. you should be drinking one 8 ounce glass of milk everyday and also be getting plenty of excersise as well and you should be getting rid of a few pounds in no time 🙂

    NO….. you don’t want to do that to lose weight because yes you will lose some weight but once you start eating again all that weight will eventually come again. Eat 5 or 6 small meals a day, some fruit, protein, vegetables, maybe a little bit of like baked chips and than excersice for an hour or an hour and a half. Now thats weight that will go off and stay off.

    Actually, not eating slows your metabolism and when you eat, it will store everything which makes you gain weight. Just keep up eating alot of fruit and you should also drink lots of water.

    I dont understand how you think this will help you lose weight. As soon as the 2 days are done with the next thing you eat, you will add on weight because your body thinks there’s a famine going on and so adds weight/fat. What you want is to get up at 7 am have an apple, have another apple at 8 etc etc untill you reach 2000 callories. This is how you trick your mentabolism
