Atkins. Eating no carbs means you have no stored energy. So your body uses it’s lipid stores, ie fat. However it lowers the oxygen in your blood and you look like hell and raise risk of cancers. Also if you go back to eating moon pies right after you just gain it all back.
If you honestly want to loose weight for yourself, just eat right and exercise. Atkins may get you started but no diet is going to work, loosing weight is a lifestyle change.

Try eating more fruit and vegetables everyday, and work out about 3-4 times a week.
Remember, eating less and working out more is the key.

Take before and after photos. I know it sucks to see yourself as a chunky monkey (sorry, that’s what I called myself – if only to get myself motivated to meet my weight loss goal). However, there’s no easier way to illustrate your progress. The “after” photos are far more fun to capture and share, admittedly. Find yourself on Flickr! It’s good to see yourself how others see you. Do you like how you look? In many ways, Flickr helped me lose weight.

I have found a great blog with a story of a woman who lost weight in a healthy and easy way. It was an eye-opener for me. I’ve tried it and I must admit that the results amazed me. I lost more than 30 pounds so far and I feel better than ever.
So, what is this diet about? Well, it teaches you how to stay healthy while losing weight.
