How many people have gained weight using the breatheing machine blowing air while asleep?

In order to not stop breatheing at night, I use the breathing machine. My weight has steadily climbed and is still climbing. I have gained 22 pounds since January of this year. Does everyone using it gain this much weight and more? Will the weight increase stop? What causes it?

i’ve only heard of people losing weight once they are on the CPAP machine. You might want to call the homecare company to see what insight they can offer or the sleep lab where you got your study done.

The air you are breathing contains excess calories and thus it causes you to gain weight.

Honestly this is a very uneducated accusation. Do you honestly believe that room air is going to cause weight gain?? Seriously. You have obviously been gaining due to other reasons. I have never heard of anyone gaining weight due to CPAP, only losing. You may want to look at other avenues on this one.
