How many calories should I intake a day to lose weight?

I am 15 and I weight approximately 153 pounds. I am 5″7 and I already know I should weigh 133 pounds. I just need to lose 20 pounds and it sounds almost impossible. I used to weigh 160 pounds and lost 13, and was 147. I gained a little since then so I approximated my weight now.

Anyways;
I wanted to know how many calories should I intake a day to lose weight, not keep it the same.

    Calories is a big topic when it comes to weight loss. We need to understand three definitions: the amount of calories in our food, the amount of calories a certain physical action uses up hourly, and last but not least our own personal daily allowance of calories. I discovered the responses to all of these queries by checking out the website in the box below, they have loads of tips and tricks, I lost 6 pounds by following their techniques.

    Well it all depends on how much you consume on a daily basis…….and cut 500 from that, but I ( and alot of sites / and people ) suggest you should eat 1200-1500 a day if your trying to lose weight……NOTE: anything less than 1000 calories is unhealthy and will not help you lose weight!!

    it is not impossible, Im losing good weight by just walking for 30 minutes and eating healthy, NO more junk food / soda………..only water and fruits / veggies / lean meat for protein……..to be motivated listen to some motivating music and you could get a shirt you look ” big ” in and set your goal to look good in it

    Remember you can if you try, and GOOD LUCK!

    ( no I did not copy and paste this from a site, I hand typed this )

    Zone out. There’s a reason why people exercise to their favorite music – listening to external stimulus takes your mind off of the physical activity. That’s the secret to making “exercise time” fly. If you’re concentrating on what your body is doing, the session is going to drag on for what will seem like days. Buy a portable music player, or situate yourself in front of a television.

    Vitamins are good for you. If you’re going to take any pills, let them be natural supplements (like Essential Fatty Acids or multivitamins). Be careful about overdoing it, though – especially with herbal remedies. Too much of anything is a bad thing. You can consult a nutritionist, but always buy on your own – and keep these supplements to a minimum. Remember, too, that specific vitamins are no good without specific minerals.
