How many calories does licking an envelope give you?
I have heard that every time you lick an envelope to seal it, you consume 8 calories. Is this true or a load of old tosh?
Surely it would depend on size and make of envelope and glue used.

Who licks envelopes these days. They have envelope sealer and besides I saw a news story several years ago that a woman licked an envelope and got a small paper cut on her tongue and then it got infected with a bunch of baby cock roaches. Envelope factories are very dirty and bugs can lay their eggs on the glue and then when you lick it you are licking bug droppings.
