How is it skinny people still have belly fat? How is that logically possible?
Especially if people say you can’t spot reduce when it comes to losing body fat. How is it that it accumulates on certain spots of the body if that’s the case? I mean I’ve seen skinny people(I’m one of them) who has fat around the belly and I have really skinny arms and legs. Explain that.

Our body stores fat, its in the belly normally, for some its on
their thighs or hips.. one guy had all the fat cells on his body removed,
His body found an alternative.. his back!

because even if you have a small waste/arms/legs you can still have a fat belly
it all depends on your dna where your fat accumulates the most… some people it is their arms and legs some people their buts, some people their stomachs

It depends on your body type. How much fat and where you gain it depends on where and how many fat cells you have in a certain area.

im skinny and i have a flay belly, no fat…i thinks it depends on how they eat

Fat is stored around the abdomen on all primates. It makes it easier to carry around. This of course comes from out hunter gather background.

need to work out and exercise. these people are simply not eating but that’s not what makes a body fit and healthy !!

I now people that have about 1% body fat. Their stomach is round although, you may see the person after they eat or the person may be bloated. Sometimes people just carry weight in certain places, like i carry a little bit of mine in my lower stomach and my thighs. Its weird because i am very much so in shape, when i lift up my shirt you can see my abs and then at the bottom it just looks like a “normal” stomach. Body fat is pretty hard to get rid of so maybe those people dont excersice their stomach.

u need fat 2 live
December 7th, 2010 at 6:26 pm
well girls have fat on their bellies, butts, hips, thighs, etc because that’s the fat thats going to be used when they have a baby
so they can still be skinny but have fat on their bellies and other parts of their body

1. Everyone has fat
2. everyone has a stomach
3. Everyone has skin

Visceral fat tends to accumulate faster than anything else. Belly for men and hips for women. Simple physiology…Plus… You should have some fat for normal body function. There’s no such thing as “zero body fat”

beats me.
December 7th, 2010 at 7:56 pm
yeah i know it sucks.. im skinny too but i dont understand why i have that.. its life i guess
December 7th, 2010 at 8:41 pm
It is all about fatty acids, which produce in your body and they make you fat. If you exercise and reduce the fat, you’ll see that there is still some skin left. This will also finish along with the exercise.

You must be a blonde. Body fat has to exist for survival. Having fat on your belly just means that’s where your body keeps it’s fat stores. Fat stores usually exist on parts of the body that undergo the least rigorous activity allowing it to be sustainable.
December 7th, 2010 at 9:55 pm
it depends on foods and how much they work out. and yeah it is very logical.

Everyone has body fat 🙂
December 7th, 2010 at 10:20 pm
we all need fat too live

Well, its because your muscles are not toned enough. And because of that, the tummy looks flabby.
To get rid of that, try switching your diet from drinking cold drinks to warm/hot beverages like warm green tea..especially after you eat. Cold water/drinks dont help in breaking down the fats..plus, you’ll feel much better drinking warm tea after meals..
And..yeah, go for a run, do some sit-ups once in a few days, just a couple of sets, you dont need to get a 6-pack abs..you just need to get slightly toned.
Good Luck!
hope this helps

The Human Body Stores Fat For The Big Event !! Women And Men Store Fat In Different Places !
Men Store It Above & around The Belly !! Get Used To It It’s There for a Reason !… What’s The Big Event ?? ….. It’s To Feed Your Heart & Brain In The Event That Your Food Supply Runs Out !!

Well, everyone has some fat on them. even super skinny people. your body needs fat. your brain needs fat to function, plus there is fat that lines and protects all of your organs.
however, i do know what you are talking about. i have seen people with really skinny arms and legs that have disproportionately larger bellies. This is the worst kind of fat, stomach fat is more likely to cause heart attacks and other complications then leg/arm fat is.
It is also true that people just store fat in different places. everyones body is just made different. When you eat more fat than what your body needs to function, your body stores it for later use. which if you constantly eat more fat than you need, then it will just keep accumulating. personally my body stores it on my arms. it is really hard to lose this fat. i cut back calories and do arm workouts and still find it extremely hard to lose my arm fat. all that seems to happen when i cut calories is that my stomach gets skinnier and skinnier.
i would first suggest working out your abs. you can google some good ab workouts. bicycle crunches and crunches on a balance ball are good. also, pilates (you can buy a pilates video at walmart for $10) are excellent on your abs, but pretty hard. also, cut back the fat in your diet. you dont even necessarily have to eat less, just eat less fat. buy baked chips, or eat fruit for a snack. try wheat bread instead of white bread…just little things.
however, i can tell you in my experience, that if your body just happens to store fat in a certain place it can be extremely difficult to get it to stop and to get rid of the fat. In that case, the only thing I know to tell you is to see a personal trainer and/or dietician…but, if your like me you may not be able to afford that…: (

It’s your body shape, that’s why.
I have a skinnier waist and torso, and my bottom half is a clothes size bigger. You obviously store fat on your stomach, but you’re clearly not overweight from your description.
Fat storage places are controlled by hormones, which you can’t alter. Some peoples’ bodies store more fat in one area than another, and the proportions usually remain the same when they loose or gain weight.
