It can be, but it depends on how hard you work and how long you play. You need to burn 3500 calories to burn one lb of fat. So if you burn 500 calories an hour, you have to play for 7 hours to burn one lb. This is why you have to reduce how much you eat to lose weight. Doing only more exercise or only reducing how much you eat won’t work nearly as well as doing both.

Most sports are great ways to lose weight, especially basketball. But you can go with tennis that’s fine but if you mix that with a healthy whole grain, low carb, high protein diet you can lose weight pretty quickly. Some even lose 20 pounds in a month on that kind of diet and get to their ideal weight.

it depends on how long u are playing for.. if u are playing 4 – 5 times a week for 1.5 – 2 hours.. and eating a clean diet… minum carbs.. high protein… u will burn alot of calories..

but its alot of your eating habits.. and your metabolism…
also if u already workout with weights u will lose weight definently.. and build lean muscle mass

Well if you dont just walk around, but run and sprint, then you’ll probably lose weight. Tennis requires alot of footwork so running, mainly sprinting, is involved.

I dunno how fast you can lose weight lol. As long as you dont eat a dozen cupcakes a day and drink a gallon of lard and eat healtheir options like bananas and other fruits like pineapples or blueberries, you may be ok.

And it is ok to eat sweets. I eat alot lol. And im no fatty either lol, so dont go crazy if you choose to go on a diet

    Set realistic goals
When making changes to your diet and exercise habits start small and set a few realistic goals. If they are realistic, you are more likely to achieve and stick with them and feel successful, which in turn boosts your self-esteem and self-confidence for ongoing success.

you move a lot in tennis, and i know that an intensive match of tennis is sometimes equivalent to miles of running..
but you cant lose weight by only exercising, you should put yourself on a strict diet plan, along with exercise (tennis is a great workout!) to lose weight the healthy way. 🙂
