How do I motivate myself/what should I do to lose weight for the Air Force MEPS.
I am trying to make weight for the MEPs this month for the Air Force, but I am trying to figure out how I can motivate myself and what I can do to lose weight for the MEPs. Any ideas or tips? I need to lose about 12 pounds by September 1st. (3 weeks).
I eat healthy. Normally a low calorie cereal for breakfast, sandwhich for lunch (no condiments), and a normal dinner. Drink nothing but water and skim milk.

Instead of driving to the McDonald’s down the street, jog to the one four miles away.

Your first thing you will want to do is eat healthy. Working out, Running, and other exercise is also very important. Stay away from greesy foods and fast food.

Throw on the running shoes my friend, grab you some headphones and run! Cut back on your caloric intake. Thank you for joining the military and serving your country!

The carbs could be what’s doing it. That sandwich for lunch has plenty of carbs because of the bread.
You haven’t mentioned physical activity . Picking up the pace here without increasing consumption, is a sure fire way of losing weight. That last meal of the day needs time to digest, so if that is a big meal and it is close to bed time, you are fighting an up hill battle !

Constantly stay physically active. cut back on the carbs and calories. 12 pounds isn’t a lot. Worst case senario, you have to wait an extra month in order to lose the weight. Oh, and let everyone know that you are trying to lose weight to join the military. They will encourage you and keep you accountable.

if losting weight so u can join the AF isn’t motivating u to lost weight then maybe u shouldn’t join because that tells me ur heart just ain’t it like it should be if u want to join the military. but thats my 2 cent anyway

I had 2 friends in the same position as you and they did this workout and meal plan:

BTW, milk isn’t good for you. If you cut out milk and breads (also your cereal you eat), you will have 100x more energy. If you don’t believe me about milk, just google it. There’s over a million pages that will verify that milk is bad for you. The proteins in it are not proteins we utilize and they have been shown to cause disease, cancers and allergies. Calcium is actually removed from the bone and absorbed into the bloodstream from milk due to the phosphorus in it from the pasteurization process. Not to mention, that same process heats up the milk so high (to kill bacteria) that it also denatures any nutrients that come with it. So don’t look at the nutrition label as your body cannot utilize anything in milk.
