How do I lose some weight, or at least look good?

I’m a 16 year old male, who is 5’8″ and a whopping 170 pounds.
I am disgusted by what I see in the mirror, and I would like to shed some pounds, lose fat, look slimmer, etc. Any good tips? (Dietary or exercise-related suggestions are both acceptable)

Most of the fat is in the thighs and belly.

    try running dude, u obviously at first, like all of us are like ‘NO’ but get on a treadmill a couple days in a row, youll already see a little difference, within a month youll be wowed and a year will make all the difference, it’s not as hard as it seems.

    Running is definitely the way to go, and no soda or junk food. But 170 is definitely not whopping, you’re just 10-15 pounds overweight.
