How did you lose the weight if you weren’t breastfeeding?

I know breastfeeding is best for baby and helps moms lose weight. I could if I could, but I can’t. That’s not what this question is about.

I had my son 5 weeks ago and I seemed to have stalled in my weight loss. How did you lose the weight if you weren’t breastfeeding and how long did it take you? I have about 15 more to go. Any tips?

Get lots of excercise. I had my son 5 weeks ago as well, and can’t breastfeed for various reasons.

Where I live my only transportation is the bus or my own two feet. I’m not nearly as hungry now as I was before, so I’m not eating near as much. So what I’m doing is walking a lot and not eating much. I hope to lose a bunch of my weight as well.

I am not a good example of weight loss, because I am blessed with good genes and a high metabolism. Starting weight was 135 lbs, final weight was 165, and after baby weight was 140. Diet is 75% of weight loss, I ate healthy (still do) and I stretched every single day even if I wasn’t going for a walk that day. I’m now down to 120 lbs (what I was in high school), and it’s been almost 2 years since I gave birth. And I didn’t breastfeed because I wasn’t able to.

I gave birth almost 6 weeks ago. I gained 24 pounds while pregnant, and I had lost the entire 24 pounds in the first 2 weeks after giving birth. I have been bottle feeding my daughter from the very beginning because I can’t breastfeed due to medications I have to be on. I have my 6 week check-up tomorrow, so after I get the go ahead from my doctor, I’m going to start doing crunches and all my other exercises again.
