    Because of the NHS!

The NHS was set up so that everybody can see a doctor without having to pay.

Why not call NHS direct for mor details?

most county hospitals are supported by the state, and they must treat you regardless of your ability to pay.

There isn’t much you can do if you are trying to go to a doctors office. However you can look for a free clinic in your area or go to the emergency of a non private hospitol.

You could live in the UK or Ireland. After all that’s where you posted your question.

Go to an urgent clinic, health department, or get on medicaid.

In old world countries they have a National Health scheme. You pay a weekly sum to the government and when you get sick, medical help is free.

unfortunately there’s nothing else you can do. without insurance, a doctors visit is ridiculous. I went through a whole pregnancy and child birth without insurance. they did not make me pay part up front bc i was pregnant and had to go to the doctor, but in the end, i ended up owing over 19000 dollars.

Most counties have a healthcare program. They are paid on a sliding scale-like, if you don’t have the money-you don’t have to pay. Check it out in the government section of your phone book. If you can’t find t there, then call the county and ask them. I wish you the very best and ,please, go to the doctors.

If your in the United States I think they have a lower income health plan. The United States has a poor health care system focused on money and not on people. Most of the world however has free healthcare and are happy.

Watch this movie and you will understand what i’m talking about. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0386032/

If you are living in the UK you do not need to pay. However you do need to join the Doctors surgery and if their books are full then they can refuse you. go to the NHS website to find your local surgery and go along and join. Then make an appointment. It sound like you have been going to Medi centre’s. these are not run by the NHS and are a private service therefore you do need to pay. If your condiction is really serious go to A&E at your local hospital.

You can see “Managed care”in any clinic facility. The only way you can see a doctor without insurance is thru the Emergency room, then they bill you for an arm and a leg.I suggest you go to the medicaid office and if they say you’re not eligible they always sign you up for a different health insurance.Good luck.Health insurance is very important Please do it A.S.A.P!

I presume you do not live in the UK. Over here if you are ill you go to the doc or the Emergency Dept of the Hospital and you get treatment. You don’t pay money as every wage earner pays National Insurance Contributions which along with Government money funds the National Health Service.
It might not be the best but at least people know they can be treated without having to cough up the cash at the time of treatment.

In the UK it does not cost you to go to a doctor or a hospital, how ever if you work in the UK you pay National insurance contributions to cover cost the National Health Service, but you do not have to pay before you receive any treatment.

And it is not conditional to pay to receive treatment
