How Can I Stop Getting a Red Face While Playing Basketball?

When i play basketball or any sport indoors i get a really red face then it goes away in patches but in the patched i get little red dots. And it takes ages to go away. I’m not over-weight or un-fit? How can i stop getting this?

My daughter skin reacts the same way when she is playing sports. Her’s goes away within a couple hours. Drink plent of liquids/water before you play. Just stay hydrated see how that works out.

You can’t, I get the same thing doing fitness classes with wifey. I go red in about 7 minutes and look like I’ll explode into flames!! It’s normal for some people. I stay red for at least 30 mins after as well so all my mates know when we’ve hit the gym.lol

i could relate to that because i also get a red face when i do activities that causes me to sweat. i guess you have skin allergies… one that is due to heat and sweat. it’s something that is genetic in you so there’s nothing else you can do if you catch them…. PREVENTION is the only way to avoid them. so just avoid too much heat and activities that causes you to sweat.

I get this too, but I mostly just sweat like crazy! Try a cold towel or washcloth, drink water, but this is just something you get when you exercise and it might not go away:(

Its difficult to answer this sort of question without more info.

It could be whats commonly known as a ‘heat rash’ or at the other end of the scale it could be a form of Reynaulds Disease.

Geting hot and red when you engage in physical activity is normal im afraid.
