How can I lose weight with little effort?

I want to lose 20-40 pounds but I dont have the motivation or will power to excercise for very long. I may say Im going to do it, and then do it for about a week and then stop because Im getting too busy, or am not motivated to go workout. MY weakness is sweets. I can eat the healthiest organic good-for-you foods all day long, but when it comes to sweet things, I have no control. What can I do to lose weight?

Obviously you don’t really want to lose weight if you don’t want to put in the effort. It’s like saying, I really want an A in that class, but I’m not going to study. Neither will work out for you.

duh,, its like saying how can I get a masters degree without studying …

anyway that’s exactly the same situation I am in, but I don’t stop because I get busy, I just get too overwhelmed going over the planning I have done about how I am going to lose weight…

My advise is drink 5 cups of green tea everyday plus 12 glasses of water, 4-5 small meals a day instead of three big ones, stop eat after 7 pm, workout first thing in the morning for 30 minutes and another 30 minutes in the evening … um … thts it for now …. oh, don’t forget to make healthier food choices …. if you crave for something sweet, don’t deprive yourself, go get it but just a little. taste it, don’t finish it all up. a bite is usually enough to satisfy the sweet cravings..

Trick yourself with smaller plates, dont eat in front of the tv, cut your deserts in half and try to get the healthy ones, and drink a lot of water.

Before you go to sleep maybe do 5 sits ups, and every day add 1 or two. While you are watching tv lifts weights.

    WATER IS MOST IMPORTANT!!!!
Also, you can take a rubberband and pull it when you have cravings.

    Diet pills and exercise.
Take diet pills, such as Hydroxycut or T-Lite, and go for a half hour walk every day. You should lose 2-3 pounds a week.
T-Lite can be found online (I can’t find it any longer in pharmacies), and Hydroxycut can be found just about anywhere.
T-Lite shouldn’t cost any more than $15.00 per bottle, and I pay $29.00 for Hydroxycut.

Easy. Stay away from sweets. Sometimes, a weakness for sweets indicates a protein deficiency. Make sure you are getting the right amount of healthy, low fat protein.

And make your exercise fun. Just put on your IPOD and walk — listen to comedy or book on tape or your favorite music.

Work on the motivation — try a self-hypnosis tape or get a friend to help you. You want to be healthy for a long time, and success is a wonderful motivator!

Start small, like parking your car further away from the door at the grocery store. Even though pedometers aren’t always “accurate” most of them do a decent job. Buy one and set a goal for the number of steps you want take each day.

Drink water! A good rule of thumb is drinking half your body weight in ounces each day. I.E. If you weigh 140 pounds, drink 70 ounces of water each day.

Try doing the excercising you don’t notice by doing things that are fun like swimming (It’s a total body workout.) or playing basketball. Or if you prefer tv, workout while your watching. It’s easy to do sit-ups during commercials. Try lifting dumbells or walking on a treadmill while you watch a movie.

Save calories where you can. Buy 2% milk instead of whole.
Try snacking on fruits and veggies. Or pack your lunch so you aren’t tempted to eat fast food. (That one will also save you money.) Track what you eat if you have time…. just for a few days, write down EVERYTHING you eat and you will be able to use this as a reference guide… you will be amazed at how quickly the little things add up.

Most importantly, don’t deprive yourself. Too many people think of it as “I need to go on a diet.” It’s not a diet. It’s a lifestyle change. If you want M&M’s eat some. If you eat them when the craving hits, you are likely to eat a handful and be satisfied. If you postpone it telling yourself you “can’t” you will wait a week, then go out and buy a king size bag and eat the ENTIRE thing. It’s all about portion control. You can eat whatever you want as long as you are willing to work for it.

Get a workout buddy. Having a friend to exercise with helps to keep you motivated. Workout in the morning; it gives you more energy than coffee as well as boosts your metobolism.

Set small and realistic goals. Remember to celebrate small victories. I.E. after you lose 10 lbs., buy yourself a new shirt. Remember Rome wasn’t built in a day, don’t expect overnight results. Healthy weight loss (without dangerous diet pills) averages 1-2 pounds per week. Good Luck!
