Help with calculating and determining Body Fat Percentage loss for a friendly competition.?
I began a body fat % loss challenge with some friends. I’d like to know the best way to determine the winner. We thought about going off of weight percentage lost, but felt it would be unfair to those who had less weight to lose. There were also some concern because some wanted to lift weights… so then we went with whoever dropped more body fat percentage. But we feel unsure about using this method.
We feel someone who started at 45% body fat would have an easier time dropping than someone with 20% body fat. This is where the problem arises. What should we do? How do we judge the winner fairly?

if you all started around the same percentage judge the winner by looking at who dropped the most. there is really not a fair way to do it if you all started at different percentages because its harder for a fatter person to lose.

Do a web search for ” Body Fat %”. You will get a bunch of web sites that offer formulas or paradigms to calculate body fat %. All those in competition, agree to select and use one web site or formula ( because different formulae give different results). This way you have a common basis on you van select a winner.
