Diet & Exercise combined will show fast results. I’m trying to lose some weight, too. I just started a modified version of Atkins (low carb). I read a study published on CNN recently that a low carb, low fat diet helps lose weight fastest and keep it off. Atkins is a bit restricting in the beginning phases so I’m modifying it to allow some fruits. Basically you try to avoid carbs and eat more protein and low-carb fruits and vegetables. Stay away from sugar and refined processed foods. And if you can exercise 30 mins a day or more that will really help, too. Good luck!

It depends on how you gained it. If it’s from medication like steroids for something like asthma, it won’t be that easy. If it’s from eating too much junk food, resuming your previous diet would take off a lot. Exercise of course would speed it up.

When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together.
If you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger appetite, which
will lead to increase of weight, or muscle grow
underneath the fat layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet without
exercising, you will become flabby and will have excess skin. For
diet, go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food
after 7 p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending on
your initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. If
you don’t eat wheat then you don’t eat all those sticky, fatty goey
cakes, you don’t eat junk food, and you don’t eat biscuits. But your
diet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have to
calculate points or to buy special meals or plans. For exercising,
start with walking, and then switch to running/jogging. Running is the
most efficient and calorie-burn exercise ever. If you are overweight a
lot, walk first or you may have health complications (heart attack,
disjointed bones and so on). Weight lifting is a good means to target
your problem areas for men and women. It’s not necessarily to become a
bodybuilder or even join a gym – a couple of dumbbells will help you
to target your problem areas (stomach, butt, legs, arms, chest).

Eat your body weight in lean proteins every day. Don’t eat high-carb foods (like pasta, bread). Eat a whole freaking lot of raw and barely cooked veggies and fruits. Don’t eat or drink anything containing more than 8 grams of sugar, and limit this item to only one a day, early in the day so you can burn it off fast. Don’t eat after 7pm. Exercise moderately before bedtime (like taking a 45 minute stroll outside). Eat 5-7 small meals a day. No alcohol! To figure out how many calories to consume, visit my-calorie-counter.com.
Do all of this for a month and I BET YOU you’ll lose a ton of weight!

it’s easy to put the weight on. The sad thing is it’s a lot of work
taking the weight back off. There is no quick fix. Sorry

you didn’t gain it all over night so you won’t lose it over night but if you cut out 500 calories out of your day, every day for a week you’ll lose 1 lb a week if you cut out more it’ll add up. this is the best way to lose weight because you don’t have to go by any strict diet and also add some exercise in there and cardio
