bulking up or cutting for fat loss?
wanted to know which option I should go for to reduce fat. Here are the stats
Male
age 21
26 % body fat
214 lbs
5’11”
mesomorph
I tried cutting my weight before and reached 165 lbs only to get to 230 lbs withing months. Is it better to weight train to get bigger then reduce excess fat? or the opposite reduce all the fat and bulk up later? I also gain weight fairly easily and find it easy to add muscle quickly.

I would train for mass, then periodically add a little cardio whenever you feel you are putting on too much fat.
