Why is it when I eat a low carb breakfast my hands and feet are cold in the morning?

Only when I eat a low carb breakfast. I don’t feel hungry or anything like that. My feet are just cold. And I know it’s not the temperature.

You need some fiber in your life. Oatmeal will warm you right up plus it sticks with you well into lunchtime.

well low carbs arent really enough to keep your blood pumping and energy high, so it doesnt really reach your hands and feet, the extremities.

It just might be that your body doesn’t do well at turning your own body fat into available energy, and relies on a recent intake of food to do it. You can’t digest fat and protein quickly enough to keep warm after the nightly fast – by you, I mean you personally. People’s metabolisms and reactions to food can differ markedly.

Some people can thrive on mostly fat and protein with few carbs, and some get by better on mostly complex carbs and little fat and/or protein. Different people can get fatter or thinner on exactly the same diets.

Consider adding a few vegetables or some fruit or even whole grain (oats are pretty good) to kick-start your metabolism in the morning, even if you stay low carb the rest of the day.

You didn’t give your body the energy it wants so the body being smart uses the energy where it needs it more.

Try eating a few more carbs, find the balance. Remember it isn’t so much what you eat its what you do with what you eat.

If you eat Steak and potatoes and type on a computer yes you will get storage.
    But
If you eat Steak and Potatoes and you go split wood for a hour or 2, you burned it off.

Not so much what you eat its what you do with what you eat.

Because carbs provide the fuel your body runs on. When you deprive it of carbs it cant heat as well.

Carbohydrates get your metabolism going. Without them, you are still in first gear.
