Which is more effective to in helping weight loss? Cardio in the gym or lenghts in the pool?

I go from the treadmill to the bike and the rowing machine. If i spend the same amount of time doing lengths in the pool is it as good? I heard swimming is good for toning but not great for actual weight loss.

A combination of both would be the best to make you fitter, leaner and more healthy.

swimming is an excellent exercise as there is little or no impact on joints and is brilliant for toning all over, however, cardio and weights are the best ways to help burn fat, along with a low fat diet – boring but true am afraid!

Both swimming and cardio at the gym are good but you need to think about where you would like to be leaner.
Swimming combats weight from all over, whereas running would give muscles in the legs, rowing in the arms, bike in the legs. Muscle actually weighs more than fat so instead of measuring your weight, measure your actual size. Try a mixture of both, one day in the gym, one day in the pool.

thats right because your body gets used to it in the long run and thats why you wouldn loose more weight after a while
