Which is better to lose more fat-fast cardio or slow?

I’ve heard people say the faster you run and the faster your heart rate goes up you burn more carbs than fat, but if you keep a slow constant pace and heart rate is not as high high then you burn fat?
So should i run longer at a slower speed or run faster, but in less time since my HR will be higher? Someone explain please if running at top speed will burn more fat or carbs.

There is actually only one heartrate that helps you lose weight. This is calculated by age and/or weight. Higher or lower than that is a waste of time. The best way to lose weight is in bursts of high intensity cardio, followed by low intensity. I.e, go for a walk. For every ten minutes of walking, run for 5 minutes. This is the best way to do it. Low-impact tends to not raise your heartrate enough to accomplish anything, and high-impact can be damaging to your health without even hving a weight impact.

Running slow may not get your heart rate up high enough. As long as you can keep your heart rate up you will lose weight.

You should run slower for a longer duration to burn the most fat. Exercise machines display the target heart rate for fat burning (you should be able to find a table on the web). An elliptical machine will burn 600-700 calories an hour at your target heart rate.

If you run outside, consider getting a portable heart monitor so that you can maintain the optimum heart rate.
