Depends on what you are going for. A good combo of cardio and dieting is always the best way to lose weight. If you are looking to tone your body, add in weight workouts that focus on whatever part of your body you want to tone.

Best workouts to lose weight fast:
Long distance running
Swimming
Stairs
Cycling
Light weight training
Pretty much any extended periods of moderate cardio will let you lose weight quick. 20-45 minutes per session. Do this 3-5 times a week, but make sure you get plenty of rest. Also make sure you eat healthy and don’t overindulge. Eat till you’re satisfied and try to have many small meals throughout the day rather than 2 or 3 big ones, as small meals will keep your metabolism running.

Jogging if you like the outdoors and jump rope/skipping for indoors – inexpensive and intensive!

Go for a nice and easy walk every morning or evening (if you want to tone up a little bit as well, wear ankle and wrist weights on your walk), on top of that, take up a dance or aerobics or zumba class or something similar 3 or 4 times a week… If you prefer to run/jog rather than walk, then do less dance/aerobics/zumba sessions a week.
Dancing is a good way to get fit and burn calories plus it’s loads of fun 🙂 zumba is a new craze at the moment, but do whatever interests you 🙂
The other thing is aqua jogging, that will help you lose weight and tone up… even if you just go swimming for fun – that is good exercise 🙂
Also, drink enough water, get plenty of sleep and eat a well balanced diet (don’t skip out on meals as that doesn’t actually help weight loss… plus breakfast is really important) you can also try eating 6 SMALL meals a day rather than 3 BIG meals… eat enough fruit, and maybe drink one cup of tea a day (if you drink coffee, substitute it with an herbal tea instead) as it is a good antioxidant (I drink green tea). Eating well doesn’t just improve your weight etc, but it also improves your skin, vitality, energy levels etc.
Anyhow, hope that was helpful 🙂 and Good Luck

If you want to increase your time of exercise or your work out routine, do it gradually and not in sudden steps. Well easier said than done. Most of us have such hectic schedules that it is quite impossible to fit in tie for exercise right’ Wrong. I want to say it once and for all, your body, or anybody’s body for that matter needs proper exercise. If you make up your mind to do it, you just can.

Average weight loss is only 9-15lbs a year, so this is a long term lifestyle issue, requiring both an appropriate diet and very regular vigorous exercise.
