What tips can you give me on slimming down a bit?
I totally don’t want to get super skinny, but i want to slim down because I’m not in shape.

Here are a couple dieting tips.
1. Drink zero calorie drinks. Sometimes your not really hungry but just thirsty.
2. Make sure your getting your 5-9 servings of fruit and vegtables. Fruits and vegtable displace fat in a diet and they are good healthy foods.
3. Don’t carelessly eat food. After dinner you may sometimes feel hungry when you really aren’t.
4. Putting off your favorite foods isn’t nescecerry, but instead of buying a box of cookies just buy one.
5. Eat small snacks. Studies show that people who eat 4-5 meals/snacks a day can control their weight and appitite.
6. PROTEIN! Eat protein in every meal it is proven to be more filling then fat or carbohydrates.
7. Stock your fridge with low calorie snacks. Heres a list of some.
94% fat-free microwave popcorn (20-25 calories per cup, and you can make it in two minutes or less)
Frozen vegetables
Bags of pre-washed greens
Canned diced tomatoes
Canned beans
Whole-grain wraps or pitas
Pre-cooked grilled chicken breasts
A few containers of pre-cooked brown rice

Try to change yor habits a bit some of the following may apply to you so just try to use the ones that do 🙂 They are reccommended by dieticians/nutritionists so they work.

PROTEIN! Eat protein in every meal it is proven to be more filling then fat or carbohydrates. Pick leaner meats like chicken/ turkey/ fish over red meats

Low fat yogurt

rice cakes
Oats
Canned diced tomatoes
Canned beans / pulses
A few containers of pre-cooked brown rice
