What is the most healthy protein supplement out right now?

I want to get the most out of my workouts, so i am looking for a post workout supplement that is healthy, natural and aids with recovery. I am not trying to be a bodybuilder but build strength and a more healthy lifestyle. I’ve heard good things about muscle milk and myoplex shakes. Any info is helpful, thanks.

I read in my magazine (UK Women’s Fitness) that Spirulina (a blue/green algae) is great for people who want to get more from their workouts.

It stated that resent U.S testing has shown that in two groups of athletes performing against each other , the group of athletes taking the Spirulina had more energy to perform the exercise properly and burnt 10% more fat!

I found a website that said ‘As a protien supplement spirulina has a distinct advantage over other forms of supplement. Because of the important role proteins play in our overall health and well being, they are often referred to as the building blocks of life. Unlike other forms of protein, the protein in Spirulina is 85-95% digestible, one of the highest available. In fact, Spirulina is second only to a dried egg supplment with regards to usable protein, and higher than any of the common foods in the form in which they are usually purchased. ‘ (http://spirulina.org.uk/protien_supplement.htm Not sure if reliable website??)

I do spinning 6 days a week and lift medium to heavy weights, so decided to give it a go.
I brought 100 capsules for £10, and take 6 a day (as recommended), I’ve only been taking them since last Friday, so I don’t know whether it is a placebo affect or not, but I am already felling less fatigued.

For the cheap price, its worth a try! or at least a further look into, there are loadsa websites on it :))

100% Whey protein from Optimum Nutrition was voted best protein of the year in 2009. Personally I love it.
