I have used weightwatchers for a year. I know it works – it worked for me and fifty others in the group – we all lose some weight every week, and you can eat anything you like, and drink alcohol – in fact Weightwatchers make their own wine – same strength, but lower points value. so long as you allocate points to everything and don’t exceed your daily allowance you will lose weight. They give you all you need to work out the points – it is easy.

Slimming world you can eat as much as you like but only certain foods, and you are not supposed to drink.

    I think weightwatchers is better

slimming world … wrong to call it a diet really, its food optimising.
i lost 2 stone in 2 months on the plan. with it you get to eat pretty much anything you want. u can eat as much superfree and free foods (which differ depending on whether your or green or red days) , 2 healthy extra A choices which are your calcium choices and 2 B choiced which are your fibre choices and also u get up to 20 syns per day to et anything naughty such as chocolate, crips etc. they have just introduced an ‘extra easy plan’ which allows you to mix green day food with red day foods. but with this plan you only get 1 A nd B choice per day.
i was always full! never went hungry and still lost loads of weight.

ive tried weightwatchers… didnt do very well. as everything was points based, once you went over your points you couldnt have anything else. but slimming world encourages you to eat in order to loose weight. also the syns can be used flexibly. so if you wanted to save them up to go out for a big chineese meal or for a good drink with your mates on a weekend, you can. all of them if you wished.

when i joined, it cost me £9 and cost £4.50 per week to get weighed and join in the meetings. you get great support and lots of awards. they also hold annual slimming world awards (biig lavish events) which are great fun

to lose weight u need to eat right and have a workout plan 5-6 days a week.u have to want it.
***try this u need to change ur diet.
eat six times a day. ea of ur 3 main meals needs to combine a lean protein such as chicken breast ground turkey turkey bacon egg whts also combine that with a complex carb such as a baked potato or sweet potato wild rice brown rice oatmeal or girts. also add fresh fruit and vegies to lunch and dinner. pick fruits low in sugar like pears and berries. if u get canned vegies get ones with low sodium. eat every 3-4 hrs keep ur metablism moving.
***also the most important part is WATER drink at least 64oz. no soda or juice. water will curve ur cravings.
u need to hit cardio 3-4 times a week running outside it great workout if u can hit a gym and cardio machine is great at least 30mins***
also add weight/strength training 3 times a week.u can google free weight traning guides anywhere. its not hard to find things for free.
***plan ur meals ahead of time.always have a healthy snack with u so u wont be tempted to eat fast food. also if u wait to late to eat u will get so hungry u will eat the world. make time to work out start out with 30 mins then increase.its ur body treat it right. ur diet alone can help lose weight but working out makes ur body look good. shows muscles and tight skin which is sexy and beautful. stick with it ur body will amaze u!!! to be healthy and look great u need both in ur life. good luck email me if u have further questions

Over the years I have joined Weightwatchers three times and each time I lost a lot of weight. Unfortunately each time I stopped going I put the weight back on. I went to Slimming World three different times with three different leaders and didn’t lose anything significant, the diet just didn’t suit me or my lifestyle. I say Weightwatchers, but everyone is different..

If your serious about dieting and really really want to lose weight, then you’ll do it regardless of what club you join. Both have diets to suit all but it’s how you cope with them. I lost 6 stone with weight watchers and my sister lost 3 with slimming world. We supported each other and walked a lot. We have maintained our weight loss by changing the way we eat, we no longer go to slimming clubs. You can do it if you really want to. It’s down to will power to and how much you want to be slimmer. i was very very unhappy with my weight and Knew I had to do something. I am much happier and enjoy life so much more. Good luck.

    Why not try Herbalife?

I believe it is important to eat at least 3 main meals a day and fruit snacks between your main meals. Anything less than this and there’s a good chance you won’t be getting sufficient nutrition from your food.

A long term healthy lifestyle is what I believe everyone should aim for. You are what you eat. Your healthy way of eating becomes your healthy lifestyle.

One of the main things about losing weight is to make sure you have good nutritious food. If you don’t feed your body properly it goes into starvation mode as it doesn’t know where the next decent meal is coming from.

There are certain things you can do to lose those extra inches and get into better shape. Losing weight can sometimes be a matter of just changing your normal eating habits to a healthier diet combined with better nutrition. Actual weight loss depends on the source, some suggest 1-2lbs a week, while others say 1lb a day.

A balanced diet is essential to provide your body with all the nutrients to make it function properly. Sometimes we make the wrong decisions and find making healthy choices a challenge.

Consider these key points to optimise your health.
    a) you need a balanced diet with colourful fruits and vegetables, lean protein, good carbohydrates and the right amount of good fats.
    b) vitamins, minerals and fibre to provide the nitrition missing from your diet that your body needs for good health.
    c) regular exercise to condition your heart, relieve stress and to make it easier to maintain a healthy body weight.
    d) lastly, try to drink 6-8 glasses of water a day, excluding tea and coffee.

Here are 2 options that may be of interest to you,
I’m fairly slim but I had unwanted flab around my middle, I weighed just under 11 stone. Over the last 6 weeks I have been on a weight maintenance program (not even trying to lose weight) but I’ve lost 6 pounds. My friend got on the full weight management program dropped from a dress size 14 to 10 lost 23 pounds and has kept it off now for 4 years. I did Slimming World for nearly 18 months and lost 6 1/2 stone in that time. Unfortunatly I stopped going for various reasons and put 2 stone back on over a year ( I am just pleased it all didn’t go back on). Although I got on really well with Slimming World and felt the plan suited my lifestyle I have now joined Weight Watchers as I felt the change might motivate me a little more. I have lost 9 1/2 lbs in the first 2 weeks (I always lose more at first). I still think I prefer Slimming World as you can eat far more and there is very limited weighing and measuring and you don’t have to watch everything you eat. You can still drink on the plan and eat treats like chocolate and sweets, you just have to limit them.

Weight Watchers is great if you are the type of person that likes a more rigid plan. Also they have so many ready meals etc it is easy to just open the freezer and stick one in the microwave. There is more weighing etc and you have to count your points. Almost everything you eat has to be tracked and counted. You definitely eat less, but the weight loss is good. You can still have treats the same as you can on Slimming World.

It is still early days for me on Weight Watchers so I can’t really say whether is is better than Slimming World yet, but I am going to give it a fair chance. I think that all of these plans are good and will work if you stick to them. The key is finding one that suits your lifestyle and eating habits. Take a look at both websites and maybe buy one of each of the magazines before you decide. Quite often they have special offers of joining for free so look out for that.
