What is the best way to lose weight and tighten up?

I’ve never exercised in my life and I’ve never really been on a diet (though I generally eat fairly healthy already). Now that I’m getting older (24) my body is obviously changing and I want to nip it in the butt before I start going in a direction I don’t want.

My main problem is my belly, hips, and thighs. I’m still in healthy weight range, but a few more pounds and I’m out of that category I’m guessing (5’7″ 150).

I want to lose weight but I also want to slim down in my problem areas. I don’t have much desire to bulk up.

A gym close by has a circuit system in it as well as all the other full gym features (big cardio area, free weights, more machines, etc). My plan is to do some cardio (elliptical? treadmill? bike?) and do the 30 minute circuit.

How can I make my workout most efficient? Should I warm up on the treadmill/elliptical first then do the circuit? Close with the cardio machines? Will the circuit work on my abs as well? What about stretching?

You’ll always want to stretch before you start any workout. This loosens up your muscles and helps to prevent strains and muscle pulls. I usually when working out like to start (15min for warm-up) and end with cardio (30 min for solid close). I do target workouts for about 15 in the middle. Total workout is about an hour long. Cardio is the best for you. It gets your blood pumping EVERYWHERE which is beneficial to your whole body… Elliptical is not going to have as much strain on your knees and feet as the treadmill. You can also add weights on when doing those for a more effective work out. Do be careful though to start slow and build up gradually. Too much at once can hinder more than help because you’ll be too sore to function the next day! Best of Luck!

Start 10 minutes of warm up on the treadmill or elliptical. Do the 30 minute circuit and do another 30 minutes of cardio of your choice. Stretch at the end of it. Stretch only when your muscle is warm enough, not at the beginning.

Try a cleansing diet! I did and lost 11 pounds and 21 inches in only 9 days. I was very happy with the results and continued on the program and lost 29 pounds in 5 weeks. This is the fastest I have ever lost with other diets like Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, Medifast, Slimfast etc…. Cleansing works by removing impurities from your body. You get impurities from your food (pesticides, preservatives, food additives, colorings) water, chemicals, pollution, medications, alcohol, hormones that the animals you eat were fed etc….YUCK! The impurites get coated with fat and remain in your body. To remove the fat, you have to remove the impurites. This system worked for me, maybe it can work for you too. You can check out the website or call this toll free number 1-877-587-4647 for more info. The program is not cheap, but it is worth every penny since it works and keeps you motivated. Good luck!
