what is the best method to lose fat off of your body by running?

I have to lose a few inches off of my waist to pass my military physical test and I also have to pass my 12 minute mile and a half run. All of this is in three weeks. Any suggestions?

    try practice running on rough terrain like up hill and stay breathing.when your running your mile don’t start out like as fast as you can cause you will get tired really easily!take your time!
