What is a healthy way to gain weight?

I’m 5’7” and weight about 115 pounds. That’s not too low, but I feel like I look borderline nasty skinney and my husband thinks I should gain a little bit of weight. What is a healthy way to gain a few pounds?

    Start intaking 130% of current caloric intake, keep it clean: 45% protein, 35-40% carbohydrate, 15-20% fat.

    Then pay attention to your body.

    The other poster is correct. It is all about input and out put. If you don’t burn off what you take in, then it will convert to fat. If you are a grown adult with that weight and height, and no health conditions….i would guess that you have a naturally high metabolism. You may find it easier to put on muscle than fat.

    You didn’t state if you are a female or male. Odds are with a husband you are a female. Even on a female muscles in the right places will give you curves. I’ll find you some examples.

    You honestly dont need to. Im 5’9 and weigh 108, everyones different though. Instead of gaining fat which you will surely regret later, try gaining muscle. To do this you can run or do sports, it will be a healthy lifestyle change as well. Pushups will make you have thicker arms and slightly broder if thats what you want. Most e stuck people tell me i am thin too, but ya know what? Embrace what god gave you cuz thats what you are stuck with so you may as well enjoy it. Eat more nuts, they are full of preotein. Eat sandwiches and use whole wheat bread for optimum health benefits. Hope this helped!!! 😀

    but Ensure drinks do the same & you can get the cheaper generic ones at wal-mart & other stores.

    Hey look at this way you already are what the super models are & as long as this is just your natural state then great…… just please don’t starve yourself to get that weight.

    & you know what your husband should love you for you …… as long as you are healthy. If you are smoking or starving yourself …. then re-assess those things to get in a more healthy balanced state.

    whatever the food you currently eat now just increase the percentage of carbohydrate and fat by 15-20%.
