You need to work on will power and not give in to every craving…but the key anyway is to eat smaller portions of what you’re used to…

Losing weight is good, but losing and regaining weight over and over can damage the immune system, according to a new study.
Some research has already suggested that “yo-yo dieting” or “weight cycling” is harmful. But an author of the new study, Dr. Cornelia M. Ulrich of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, said the warnings against the practice had for the most part been based more on intuition than hard evidence.
Dr. Ulrich and her colleagues questioned 114 overweight but healthy women older than 50 about their weight histories. Almost three-quarters of the women, the researchers found, had lost more than 10 pounds at least once by dieting in the previous 20 years. More than half had done that two or more times.
The researchers also measured the levels of natural killer cells, immune system cells that aim at viruses and may have a role in fighting cancer, as well.
The women who had yo-yo’d most often – five times or more – had the lowest levels of the killer cells; the highest levels were found among women whose weight had been stable for several years. Even women who had only twice lost large amounts of weight showed a decrease in the cells, Dr. Ulrich said.
Overweight women, she said, clearly benefit from losing weight, and she does not recommend that women stop dieting. But she suggests a more balanced approach.
Women should choose “a weight-loss method that is healthy and leads to an overall healthy eating pattern that one is comfortable with in the long run,” Dr. Ulrich said. She added that weight-loss plans should include exercise.

well in the end you could end up gaining weight. you need to learn to control your cravings. if you dont satisfy them in the end you could eat more than you need. you should stick to one diet for a good amount of time to actually see the effects of it. you cant skip around to many of them because it doesnt give your body time to adjust. you just need to be determined. maybe try it with a friend or family member. make sure your always postive and look forward to the results. dont check the scale it never helps.

Take sensible and maintainable diet.
Eat only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Nothing other than water in between. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%. Chew each morsel at least 32 times to activate ur body to generate signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals.
Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day.
U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time. Do not be in a hurry.

Imagine your stomach as a balloon. When you eat loads the stomach gets use to this and when food intake reduced you get hunger pains. Stop the yo yo dieting this will not help as your weight will just balloon up again. Gradually reduce the amount you eat and your stomach will shrink to accommodate your diet. You need exercise as well even if this is a walk at a brisk pace. This can be a put off but once you start you will enjoy the feeling of well being after a few times. It will be hard finding the time but you need to get into you mind that an hour a day is YOUR time and you need to ensure this happens. When feeling hungry eat healthy options, fruit, veg etc…..And stick to regular meals breakfast, lunch and dinner. YOUR BREAKFAST IS THE MOST IMPORTANT OF THE DAY. If you miss this that is when you will snack on sweet items as your body is telling you that you need energy. Set yourself a task of 1 month and stick to it you will see the difference….
