Best way to burn fat is cardio. You can tone up all you want and it won’t show if you don’t get rid of the fat, too. Best bet is usually a combination of cardio and strength training. Cardio it all comes down to preference – jumping rope works, biking works – both can get boring.
Also, to keep your weight loss moving along, change up your routine a lot. You won’t get bored, and your body won’t hit those plateaus.

Cardio, like running and stairclimbers, is great for your heart, and can burn fat if done for long periods, but will most likely not change your body shape. Weight training will change your body weight but won’t work your lungs and heart in the same way as cardio. Do a combo of both and you should see results in the not too distant future.

A HIGHLY underappreciated excersize by many is the Squat. It’s actually a full body work out, and also works your core which will give you better overall fitness. And you don’t have to put a ton of weight on and bulk up your legs to get the benefits. Same as all other weight training, lighter weights with more reps will do you wonders.

Use coumpound movements, such as bench presses, squats, deadlifts, dips, military presses, chinups. Actually, using light weights and lost of repetitions is an old myth. To lose weight you need to create a caloric deficit. Your main goal should be to maintain as much lean mass as possible. Multiple sets of low repetitions with heavy weights will help to keep your strength levels up while dieting. Try using sets of 5 x 5/4/3/2/1, or 8 x 3. Work each body part once per week, try to limit the length of your workouts to an hour. Whether you are trying to gain or lose weight diet is the key factor! Consume 10 calories per pound of body weight, and eat six times daily. Divide your macro-nutrient ratios as follows… 40% protein, 40% carbohydrate, and 20% fat. Perform High intensity interval training (do a web search for an explanation) 2 to 3 times per week. every 7-10 days have add a cheat day to your diet. eat whatever you want just don’t pig out! This will keep your BMR from dropping, and help to keep the fat peel off. You should be able to lose 1 pound per week with this approach, Be patient… the results are well worth it. Good luck!

The formula for losing weight is a mixture of weight training, cardio and the right Nutrition, i’ll list a few tips to help you on your way.

    Tip 1.
Learn how to plan a eating plan for yourself, I would say an effective place to start is with a G.I diet book, this will show you how to choose foods that help you lose weight (the foods aren’t too bland either)

    Tip 2.
Weight training followed by cardio is the best order for optimum weight loss

    Tip 3.
Twice a week do cardio first thing in the morning on a empty stomach, doing this forces your body to use fat and muscle mass for fuel.

I hope you find these tips useful.
