Well I swam since I was 4 and entered alot of competitions, but as I got older I swam less…. I am getting into it again now but it is amazing how energetic it makes you feel…… it works out all your muscles, builds stamina, burns calories, relaxes you and it always makes me feel refreshed…….. You really should do it its great 🙂

I agree with Birdie2006, also swimming does not damage knee, ankle and back joints/ligaments like jogging and other forms of exercise might.

Swimming is the best form of exercises. All the muscle groups in your body are involved. What’s more, your lungs are more expanded and your sense of timing or synchronization is improved by swimming. So go ahead swim like a fish……

It is probably the only exercise that works almost every muscle in the body together. If you first concentrate on swimming say 20 lengths for a few visits. Then time yourself over those 20 lengths. Then each time you swim try to increase your speed over those lengths. You should swim as fast as you can but still be in control of your breathing. As you get faster then start to increase the number of lengths. This way you will get very fit, burn up calories (get slimmer) and feel great afterwards.

Apparently an hour’s leisurely swim can burn 360 calories.

some benefits of swimming is you have the ability to survive from a sinking ship, you can save a drowning person, you are exercised and also you’re enjoying

Swimming is less intensive than other forms of exercise, eg: Jogging. It places less pressure on your joints, ligaments etc. It takes longer to burn off cenergy this way, but is easier on the body as the effect of gravity is counter-acted by the buoyancy of the water.

    Exercise of the entire body.

Eat well but only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%. To have more satisfaction out of ur food, Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will also activate ur body to generate signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals. Do not go on fast or starvation diet.

Nothing other than water in between.

No special diet, call it by any name or program helps as one cannot adopt them on permanent basis. Diet pills are chemicals and per se bad and shud be avoided unless the doc considers it necessary looking at ur condition.

Take light exercises and brisk walks for 30 min.regularly preferably on empty stomach and twice a day. Do not overdo.

U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time and hassle free.

Be patient and not in a hurry.

U cannot choose spots for reduction.

This schedule can be adopted on permanent basis to lead a healthy life and maintain weight.

I love it!!!! I have only learned in the past year how to swim!! and im 32!! had a bad experience when a child 🙁 but i overcome it!!

I feel really refreshed and if i have not done and resistance work, i.e weights then swimming makes it up!!

Mix swimming with other things like fast walking and running.
    Good luck
