What are the basic components of a healthy diet?

My biology textbook says “You should know the basic components of a healthy diet” but fails to say what they actually are.

Can you summarise it for me? I’m not looking for anything complicated, just something general. Thanks.

A balanced diet made up of Carbs, fats, proteins, vegetables etc…
At least 5 portions of fruit and veg a day (Different fruits & veg) and not too many carbs.
8 Glasses of water a day – keeps your body working, also keeps skin nice 🙂

Exercise always links into this somewhere…

    Hope this helps 🙂

O, btw, remember Chocolate – this is essential! (my opinion)

I really enjoy this theme youve got going on on your internet site. What is the name of the template by the way? I was thinking of using this style for the site I am going to create for my class project.
