What are some good exercises to lose weight?

I know that I can not target any areas, but I am asking for some good exercises to help me lose weight. I want them to work good and make my stomach and legs look smaller. I have been trying all summer and nothing works! School is about to start up again.. A little over a month. Anything that will work quick would be great! Also, if you want to list anything that will help me lose weight, That would be great also!

    Run. That’s quite possibly the best way.

    If you are chubby, do not try to do weights and stuff to lose weight. It DOES NOT WORK WELL.

    Jogging for 45 minutes to an hour once every 2-3 days, over the summer, will greatly help you lose weight.

    An alternate would be swimming, but I’d say jogging/running is better.

    Walking burns fat,burns calories,lowers blood sugar and bad cholesterol,raises good cholesterol,lowers blood pressure and helps fight off arthritis. No machine can do that for you.Besides,it’s free,you can do it practically anytime or anyplace,and it makes you feel good.

    Start walking!. If your legs and knees are healthy and strong and you are not too much overweight you could also try a little running.

    To be safe just start walking… several miles a day in several sessions. If it is hot where you live walk in the mall or large supermarket…. walk walk and walk some more.
    You will also need to cut out fried foods… and junk food… eat lots of veggies and some fruit too.and lean meats… do not forget the low fat milk products… you are still growing.

    Some one mentioned swimming. It takes several weeks to build your stamina enough to be able to swim enough to effect any weight loss. If you are already swimming and can sustain your laps for 35 to 45 minutes … then swimming is an alternative… however if you are not used to swimming … by the time you have buit up your endurance for swimming .. school will have started….

    eat healthy and exercise. cut sodas and sugary/fattening snacks and replace them with fresh fruits and vegetables. watermelon is a good snack that will fill you up and is delicious this season 🙂

    as for exercising, if you want to tone up, do something that will involve your entire body since you can’t target one specific area. yoga and swimming are really good exercise that incorporate all of your muscles. i would recommend for you 30-45 minutes of cardio and 20-30 minutes of muscle toning. make sure you get EVERY muscle in your body! alternatively you could do an hour or so of intense muscle-building cardio. that would be just as effective and save time but might be a little harder..
