What are some good exercises for getting rid of some excess belly fat?

I am on a good steady diet and have started exercising everyday, but I was wondering if there are good specific exercises for melting away the belly fat. I had a baby 2 years ago and just now am getting over being heavier than I used to be.

Well, as a personal fitness instructor, I’d say that daily cardio and a healthy diet will do more for you than any number of crunches and sit-ups. In fact, if you’re only doing crunches/sit-ups and not paying attention to your diet and cardio, your belly could actually get BIGGER, because of the extra muscle being added UNDERNEATH the belly fat. So eat a balanced meal…five small meals a day are better than three big meals, watch your portions, and do at least 30 minutes of cardio a day where you break a sweat. Do something that excites you—it might be dancing to fast beats, swimming, jogging, jump-rope, whatever…Good Luck!
PS—Whatever you do…NEVER follow that phony diet pill and plan stuff…it’s really a bunch of crud.

You can reduce belly fat by doing exercises like walking, swimming and rowing. Such activities help in supplying enough oxygen to the body to burn fat. The healthiest way to prevent a fat stomach is by ensuring that your weight is normal for your height. Ensure that the energy provided by the food you eat matches the energy you burn performing your daily activities. More info at http://www.toloseweight.org/losestomachfat.html
