Should I be worried about my weight loss?

Since giving birth to my second child 5 months ago, I have lost about 20 pounds in weight. Whenever I do an internet search for ‘weight loss after pregnancy’, loads of things come up about how difficult it is, but the weight seems to have dropped off me effortlessly and I noticed it from about 2 weeks after the birth. I am eating a normal diet and breastfeeding. Could there be something else wrong?

some people are just lucky like that! also a lot of women tend to eat a lot more during pregnancy and find it hard to quit after the birth, so its not that they can’t lose the weight its more thay they can’t stop eating. If you are really worried you should visit your GP and ask about it, there’s no harm in making sure.

I agree there may well be no pathology involved at all. If you are an active mum, eating a good diet and breast feeding there is no reason why you should worry.
