This is a very dangerous question. A lot of people want to lose weight and tend to go to extremes to do it.

In order to lose 1 pound, you have to burn about 3500 calories. At your height and weight (I don’t know your age) your estimated basal metabolic rate is about 1400 calories.

This means you naturally burn about 1400 calories/day. You would have to restrict your caloric intake to 1000 calories/day. Any less would be dangerous and send you into starvation mode.

Keep in mind, if you do high intensity exercise for just 60 minutes/day you can burn between 300-400 calories race walking, 400-500 doing high impact aerobics, and 500-600 running. That puts you at a caloric deficit.

This means you can safely lose about 5-6 pounds in 20 days.

Want to lose more, it isn’t safe. But if you insist, increase your exercise since you can’t really decrease your food intake more without your body switching to starvation mode and stingily holding on to your fat. You’ll just lose muscle which you need.

You can try increasing your metabolism by doing a bit of resistance training. One pound of muscle burns about 5 calories/day. One pound of fat burns about 2 calories/day.

Also keep in mind that when you exercise, your metabolism spikes up for a couple of hours. Even after you stop.

Don’t skip meals or your metabolism will fall.

Sorry, there are no safe, quick ways.

    Good luck!

start on a exercise routine and stick to it. the other obvious thing is to cut back on carbs and eat healthy foods. just set up your routine and stick to it
