My mom had the surgery. She has lost alot of weight be sure to workout unless you’ll lose the weight but your fat will hang and it will appear that you have only lost a little. She had the surgery during the summer and like the first month she lost 40 pounds she has lost like 115 pounds and that was last summer…you must workout and you can lose alot faster and be sure not to slip back into your old habits, you will have cravings for like a sprite and that’s okay one can a day is good like 4 months later then you can have a Pepsi 5 months after the surgery. Don’t go back to the cake and cookies. I think it’s a really great thing to do…you will only be in the hospital for 2-3 nights then home for about 1-2 weeks. You will need someone to help you get around the house for the first 5 days….Good Luck!

I know a few people who have had it done. The weight loss is different for each person, but they look great and they seem so much happier when the weight started coming off.

I work with a lot of people who have had this procedure. I have seen people lose about 20 to 30 pounds a month in the first few months. It seems like it took about 6 to 8 months for them to lose all the weight they wanted. NONE of the people have kept ALL the weight off. None have gained ALL the weight back. ALL stated they had second thoughts but all stated they would probably do it again
