I’ve damaged knee ligaments what kind of exercise can I do to help keep fit?

I’ve damaged knee ligaments what kind of exercise can I do to help keep fit? I was very active playing football, squash, and hill walking until I injured my knee ligaments recently. I am booked in for physio in early July. What exercise can I do in the meantime, I can feel myself getting unfit already and its only been a few weeks!

    All the evidence seems to point to RICE until you can get advice for a qualified physio…
    It is important not to resume strenuous exercise until the knee is no longer sore and it feels completely stable

    All the information online echoes this. I can only suggest do what doesn’t cause pain in your knee. As well as the caution re exercise…
    Wear a knee brace for support & protection
    Use a buoyancy aid for pool exercises
