Is having babies/givign birth covered by medical insurance in the USA or do they have to pay for it?
Just wondering .. nope I’m not pregnant just curious as Americans seem to have to pay for most of their health care.

You have to pay to have a baby- usually 13,000 or more. Which is why people go under do to medical debt.
If you have insurance already it is covered…but god help you if you are uninsured.

If they have insurance it is usually covered. You just have to pay a co-pay. The co-pay amount depends on the insurance. If you are in an HMO it is usually covered 100%. If you have a PPO, it usually pays anywhere from 75-90% for hospital stays.
