Is counting calories the most effective way to lose weight?

I have recently started to count my calories and within a week lost 5 lbs. Is this the most effective way to lose weight?

    I think that it is. That way you can monitor what you eat and you can make improvements if need be.

    I think that calorie counting in combination with exercise is the most effective way… But don’t become too number obsessed that you can’t enjoy food 🙂

    i really believe it is. i’m not a fan of working out or running. a month or so ago i decided to start counting calories. i didn’t limit my calorie intake, i just took note of it and ate actual serving sizes. i lost 10 pounds within about 2 weeks. however, once you stop counting and monitoring what you eat, the weight will return. hope this helps!
