Is Aerobics enough if i do it twice a week for an hour to loose weight?

Im 17 years old 5ft 8.5 or 174cm, weigh about 11.5 stone and im over weight, i have found this aerobics class in my local recreation center and i started to go with my friend. I would like to know if this will help me loose weight and how quicky, also will it help me tone my muscles a little bit. I would like to know if people have any other sugestions of effective methods of how i could loose weight reasonably quickly and if aerobics will help. thx i will choose best answer and i will appreciate your sgestions and ideas.

    Aerobics is a fantastic form of exercise as long as you really work hard at it – don’t just go through the motions. If you have a sensible diet too you should lose weight quite quickly, but if you can manage more areobics sessions in a week the weight will fall off you!
