If you take breaks while working out, are you still going to lose weight as fast as if you didn’t take breaks?

I workout every night, but I take breaks because I get too out of breath, I just want to know if that will effect how fast I lose weight?

how long is your break? is it enough to catch your breath or is this a long postponed break like an hour or two? While I work out, If I get too winded or lose my focus, I do take a 5 minute break to re-gain my composure because I wouldn’t want to faint or drop some equipment and hurt myself or others around me. Also, I think it’s a great idea to get some water and not let a cramp surprise you. If your running, it can be a good idea because you can calm down and work up your heart rate again.

Well yeah, if you worked out nonstop compared to stretching it out over hours there are obviously differences, but if you take very short just-catching-my-breath breaks they won’t really make a difference, just stay moving. Push yourself as much as you can, then take a short break, only a few seconds long, and go at it again. Or make the breaks just low key work outs. Otherwise, short breaks are okay, you’ll be fine, driving yourself to passing out would not be good 😛 Good luck 🙂

Workouts aren’t going to cause weight loss; diet is. Don’t expect to lose any weight if you haven’t gotten your diet in order.
