Go to your local YMCA and swim..

Father has double hip surgery, and he likes to dance with my mother.

speak to your local physcial therapist for exercise suggestions.

Proper diet is the way to weight management.

Eat vegetables & fruits which provide fiber, vitamins and essential nutrients, whilst limiting high-calorie foods, and avoid processed foods with artificial ingredients & chemicals.

It may seem surprising, but you can actually lose weight whilst eating relatively well – if you do it correctly. It’s important to get an education on proper nutrition and adopt new habits of eating healthily.

There’s too much to discuss here, but try this for further information :

My greatest weightloss tip is to use the free tools on sparkpeople.com. There’s an excellent calorie tracker and loads of exercise advice. Thanks to them I lost 40lbs last year, and that was without any running or intense exercise – I hate exercise! All the exercise I did was a minimum 20 minute walk each day and some toning exercises (crunches and stuff) twice a week. It is mostly down to healthy diet, and by cutting out the junk and counting my calories on their tracker I actually found losing weight EASY once I got the hang of it!

    Try it! Good luck!

Drink two tumblers of water on rising from the bed, and in a day drink at least three litres of it.

One third of your food should be low calorie salad. It fills the stomach and gives less calories of energy.

Well firstly, you need to be eating a healthy balanced, low fat diet with plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables.

Eat lean meats (no fat on), poultry (no skin on), fish with scales on (not in batter or breadcrumbs), eggs, fresh fruit, vegetables, beans & pulses, low fat dairy products, skimmed milk, sugar free beverages, tea, coffee, and non sugary cereals.

Try to include as many wholefoods as possible into your diet. Such as brown rice, brown pasta, beans & pulses, and brown bread. These are all high in fiber and will keep you feeling fuller for longer.

DO make sure you keep all JUNK FOODS, ready made processed meals, (the ones you buy in the supermarket), alcohol, sugary fizzy drinks, and takeaway meals to an ABSOLUTE MINIMUM. These are all high in refined sugar and full of saturated fat. The two main ingredients which are responsible for those extra pounds.

Remember JUNK FOOD is just what it says – JUNK. With one added ingredient in – FAT.

Have three regular meals a day. At regular times. Always starting with breakfast. This way you are less likely to indulge in snacks later on during the morning.

Sit down to eat your meals. Take time over them. Paying particular attention to what you are eating.

Stay concious of your new eating habits and activity levels. Because if you don’t then you won’t suceed. You need to be determined, be comitted and last of all stay consistent.

Secondly, try to MOVE as as much as you can. Any exercise will really help to accelerate your weight loss.

Walking, swimming, try a dance class, riding a bike, (this can also be a stationery bike). I am not too sure how bad your injury is to your knee. But using a trampoline also is a great exercise too.
Any exercise where it manages to get your heart rate up. Making your blood pump faster around your heart, you are breathing harder, and sweating. This way you will be burning calories.

But like with any exercise. Unless you are combining it with healthy eating. Then it will work. But if you don’t then you won’t see any results.

Exercise is beneficial regardless of your diet. However, 80% of your physique is a result of what you eat. 20% is exercise. So exercise and healthy eating work perfectly together.

Remember if once you have managed to reach your target weight. You CAN’T go back to your old eating habits and activity levels. Otherwise you WILL put all the weight back on again. It is as simple as that.

    Good Luck

I’m impressed, I must say. Actually not often do I encounter a blog that’s both educative and entertaining, and let me let you know, you might have hit the nail on the head. Your idea is excellent; the difficulty is one thing that not sufficient individuals are speaking intelligently about. I am very blissful that I stumbled across this in my seek for something referring to this.
