I am disabled and need to lose weight but cant exercise plus I have PCOS?

I have very limited movement and I need to lose weight or I shall not live, thats basically it. I am planning on starting the atkins diet tomorrow and no carbs whatsoever,or dairy or wheat. Wish me luck and any advice you can offer would be greately appreciated.

I feel so bad about my self, basically I do hate myself and do want to improve myself and I think to start doing this is for me to lose weight.

Listen sweetheart, the Atkins diet isn’t the best. Why not go on the Special K diet where you eat Special K for two meals and then healthy meals for two other.
Don’t hate yourself, you are a beautiful human being and you need moral support. That’s all.
So come on now, tell Aunty Suzie how you get on with a sensible diet.
Hope to hear from you in about ten days.

Some locations have swimming pools that are devoted to aquatic exercising, and there might even be organized aquatic exercise classes for people with disabilities. These are usually staffed by professionals that can attach customized floats that are adapted for certain disabilities. Our neighbor goes to one of these pools and loves it. Maybe you could find something like this in your area. Where I live they call these facilities “therapy pools”.

Hi, please do not feel bad about yourself. I also have pcos and my weight is up and down if I don’t stick to low carb diet, I suffer spots and facial hair as well.

PCOS is a catch 22 situation though as they say the best medication for it is to lose weight and it makes you put weight on!

My doctor prescribed a tablet called metformin and by taking this and stiking to a low carb diet I lost 2 stones – and I’m too lazy to exercise – but, when I think of your predicament perhaps I should leave the car at home and walk to the shops. I hope keep well, look after yourself and take it slowly – but most of all remember you are beautiful. We are all beautiful, no matter what size we are – it took me a long time to realise this. Best of luck.

    atkins is not healthy
if you’re not moving around much you need to be more worried about your heart and vascular system – atkins will not help with that
you’ll feel worse about yourself if you end up with a dvt or heart attack

my best advise is t try weightwatchers i lost 10 punds in like 6 weeks and u can loose more depending on how much u eat!!
here is what i had to do for weightwatchers:
    * salad is good but u cant have a salad with cheese courtons ranch and say you are eating healthy cuz you are not so try to eat just veggies and lite dressing s
    * No fried food whatsoever
*no soda or any energy drinks or coffee or cafienne tea
drink water water water about 64 oz a day ( actually i had to drinkk 64oz a day )
    *no bread, pasta, dairy,
*try eating steamed veggies (some not all ore good for u ) exmple potato wont be good
*grilled chicken, grilled everything will be good
    * last and most important eat small meals instead of 2 big ones that helps you loose weight
    good luck

I really don’t think this is a good idea. This is a diet you will not be able to maintain. Eating no carbs and no wheat, you’ll get huge cravings and eventually give into them and binge and put all the weight you lost back on, plus more. I’m not trying to ruin your good idea, just being realistic.

I suggest you start by adding in more fruit and veges, and slowly remove fats and sugars. Drink only water and low fat milk and tea. Eat when you feel hungry and try and get out for some fresh air each day.

Well…I think your pushing it too far. Unless your butting out dairy and wheats because you have an allergy…I suggest you leave them in. Also keep the carbs too!

I’m pro-atkins. But I’m for doing it the right way. Which means the intro diet of under 20 carbs, and then adding 5 carbs to your deit every week until you reach the max # of carbs you can eat and still lose weight.

If you cut all that out your likely to cheat, and then you’ll fell even worse about yourself for not sticking to your diet.

    Good luck!
