You shouldn’t diet if your breastfeeding. Although breastfeeding usually helps woman loose weight. Just be/eat healthy and exercise lots. Go on walks with your new baby. Staying healthy is key not being “skinny”.

I’m a little slow on the whole losing weight thing. My daughter is 16 months old, and I didn’t start trying until just this past New Years as a resolution. I’m doing Weight Watchers and exercising, and I’ve already lost 10 pounds. You should check out WW, it’s a really good diet. It’s not restrictive, and teaches you to eat healthy. I’ve never been a good diet, but I’ve had an generally easy time sticking to this diet.

Breastfeeding is the best way of loosing pregnancy fat. Especially during the first six months time of exclusive breastfeeding, every pound baby gains causes mom to loose two or three pounds, or even more. For me, with my first child, it took less than five months to end up below pre-pregnancy weight.
Some light exercise, like a walk every day pushing the stroller or carrying baby in a sling, or gardening also helps to get back into shape.
Too heavy exercise or serious dieting could interfere with the breastfeeding success. The normal healthy food recommendation with limited amounts of sweetener and plenty of fiber and fresh veggies and fruit certainly support the get back into shape effort. You don’t have even to follow these recommendations too closely: I drank whole milk throughout the nursing time, and it did not stop me from loosing weight.

Try to remember that “losing 15 pounds in two weeks” is nothing to celebrate. It is important to realize that the more quickly weight is lost, the more likely the loss is coming from water and muscle, not fat. Since muscle tissue is critical in keeping our metabolism elevated, losing it actually leads to a decrease in the amount of calories we can each day without gaining weight. Fat loss is best achieved when weight is lost slowly. Strive for a weight loss of no more than 1-2 pounds per week. One pound of weight is equivalent to 3500 calories. By making small changes like eliminating 250 calories a day from food and expending 250 calories a day from exercise, you can lose one pound (of mostly fat) per week. You can calculate how much time you need to exercise to burn 250 calories by clicking here. You can calculate your caloric needs by clicking here, and then subtract 250 from that number.

Clean your closet of the “fat” clothes. Once you’ve reached your target weight, throw out or give away every piece of clothing that doesn’t fit. The idea of having to buy a whole new wardrobe if you gain the weight back will serve as a strong incentive to maintain your new figure.

Try wieght watchers i lost 10 pounds in 5 weeks. just go to one meeting get the things you need. you dont have to go to the meetings after you get the stuff figure out your points and keep a strong mind youll make just like i did i still have 29 pounds to get to my first weight goal
