how to loose 1 1/2 stone quickly, healthily and effectively?

I weigh 9 1/2 stone and i am 5ft 2″ tall. I am going on holiday in 5 weeks and naturally, i would like to look my best. I don’t eat overly unhealthy, everything in moderation. I have a bit of a belly and an hourglass figure. How can i loose weight before holidays without doing it dangerously and loosing too much too fast. Is my goal unrealistic? I don’t want to end up looking like i’ve got muscly arms like madonna does, i just want to be slim and toned. My ideal result would be a figure similar to cheryl cole or beyonce. How would i excercise to look like this?

    Your goal is slightly unrealistic. You can lose some weight but in just over a month I doubt you will lose a stone and a half. I would assume 2 lbs a week is a reasonable goal to set yourself which means about 10lbs before you go on holiday.

    First thing is fix what you eat. The theory behind losing weight is simple. Calories in is less than the calories out (putting it into practise isn’t always so easy). I’d also recommend only drinking water. No fizzy drinks or coffee or anything like that. It’s surprising how much of a difference that can make.

    Cardio is the stuff needed for weightloss. So take up running, walking, swimming or something like that. I use a crosstrainer myself because it’s a lot less pressure on the joints than somethign like a treadmill. A skipping rope is always quite a good thing to use. It’s cheap and easy to get, you can use it anywhere and in your own time and it burns a surprising amount of calories if you do it for a decent length of time.

    But I don’t think all you want is weight loss. If you are wanting to look your best you’ll probably be wanting to tone up too. So I’d recommend finding some body weight exercise or exercises using light weight to help you tone up (heavier weights will be what would make you too muscley but don’t worry that would only come from long term use).

    And if you want to have a figure similar to beyonce or cheryl why not take up dancing? They do a load of dancing so it has to do something for them XD

    I tried to give you advice taken from my own experiences. I have lost about 4 stone since august following stuff like this so it does work.
